Pattaya is located 147 kilometers (91 miles) southeast of Bangkok.  Many people say that Pattaya has everything. At night Pattaya has its own charm and so many activities. Let's go for good seafood at a restaurant by the sea for superb fresh seafood at reasonable price. For those who'd like to see cabaret show advanced booking is recommended. After the show, there are many things to enjoy. Walking along the Walking Street at south Pattaya, sitting in the beer bar, talking to many girls, watching people walking by, or go to the A-Go-Go bar. For shoppers, there are a lot of shops selling handicrafts, souvenirs, etc. After that some people come back to sit in the cosy bar or lobby bar to enjoy favorite drink with live music

.UNDER WATER WORLD

Located on Pattaya Highway at South Pattaya. This Under Water World offers several kinds of fishes where visitors can see very closely. A souvenir shop is located at the exit. BOTTLE MUSEUM The Bottle Museum is located on Sukhumvit Road. Here, famous architecture of the world as well as boats finely crafted in miniature in glass bottles by a Dutch craftman, Mr.Pieter, are put on display.

The museum is open daily during 10.00 a.m. - 9.00 p.m. Admission fee is 300 baht each.

Ripley's Museum Believe It or Not

This museum is located on the 3rd floor of Royal Plaza Building, Beach Road. Odd stories and objects are collected from around the world and exhibited here. The museum is open daily during 11.00 a.m. - midnight.

 

KO LAN

It takes 45 minutes offshore by tourist boat or 15 minutes by speed boat to go to Ko Lan (or Lan Island) which is the largest of Pattaya's archipelago. Major attractions include viewing coral reefs from glass-bottomed boats, snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, skiing and parasailing. there are a lot of seafood restaurants on the island's main beaches. Deep sea fishing can be arranged to Ko Lan's neighbouring islands such as Ko Khrok and Ko Sak.

Million Years Stone Park & Crocodile Farm

Located at about 9 kilometers from Pattaya City, the site has breeding pens with more than 1,000 crocodiles, a zoo, and a bonsai garden decorated with rock formations.

Open daily from 8.30 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.

The crocodile show starts at 10.00, 11.00 a.m., 2.00, 3.30, and 5.00 p.m.

PATTAY ELEPHANT VILLAGE

The elephant round-up at the Elephant Village is literally a large gathering of herds of elephants. These gigantic beasts have long been the backbone of heavy work in the jungles of Thailand. The thrilling event includes spectacular demonstrations of elephant capture; the daily life of elephants and their masters; elephants being trained, worked and fed; elephant riding and an ancient war, elephant dressed for your photograph.

Visitor's Information The village is located on the road to Siam Country Club Golf Course (about km 145). Show time is 2.30 p.m.

Khao Kheow Open Zoo

This open zoo is located at Tambon Bang Phra, and covering a large area of 1,200 acres. The zoo can be reached by either :

(1) from Sukhumvit Highway follow the Bang Phra Reservoir route, passing the Bang Phra golf course for another 19 kilometers, or (

2) follow the new State Highway No.36, and follow direction signs. The open zoo, operated by the Dusit Zoo Authority of Bangkok, has a large number of animals such as deer, bulls, monkeys, gibbons, hippopotemi, bears, kangaroos, banteng, elephants, peacocks, etc. Visitors can stroll around or can go through the area by car.

The zoo is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.


How to get there
Travelling from Bangkok to Pattaya will take less than two hours. There are two choices of going by the Motorway or by the new elevated highway from Bang Na to Chonburi, then take the Motorway, and driving is much more comfortable now. The air-conditioned bus leaves Akemai Bus Terminal every 20 minutes from 05.50 a.m. till 8.00 a.m., and every 30 minutes from 8.00 a.m. till 9.00 p.m. For information call please call -018529310
